Become a Councillor
Are you looking to get more involved and give back to your community? Being a town or district councillor is a rewarding, voluntary role that really connects you to your community.
We recognise that everyone has unique skills and abilities which are valuable to our town. Our team works best when everyone works on projects that they are passionate about. As a councillor you could find yourself:
· Engaging with local residents to understand their views;
· Championing public transport;
· Supporting local businesses and events;
· Helping community groups and allocating grant funding;
· Improving our environment;
· Managing allotments;
· Reviewing and advising on planning applications;
· Working with Portishead Youth and Community Centre;
· And much more!
